Description
Description Are you the person who sees a story before anyone else does? The one who can spot a moment in the chaos of a live event, pull out your phone, and create content that makes people stop scrolling? If so, this role was built for you. We’re looking for a social-native Lofi Content Creator who lives and breathes short-form content: TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and beyond. This isn’t about polished production. It’s about capturing energy in the moment, experimenting with lofi aesthetics, and making content that feels authentic, fast, and unforgettable. This is an Independent Contractor role (30–40 hours/week, 6-month contract) with the potential to move into a full-time role at the end of the contract. You’ll be hands-on: brainstorming, scripting, filming, editing, and posting content. You’ll also be on-site at live events and shoots, capturing the behind-the-scenes, the hype, and the human side of sports and entertainment. Key Responsibilities Ideate, script, film, and edit engaging short-form content with a lofi, authentic aesthetic. Appear on-camera with confidence and relatability for internal and client-facing content. Capture content using iPhone cinematography, creative filming hacks, and platform-native editing tools like CapCut. Design thumbnails, cover slides, memes, and graphics to enhance storytelling. Research and understand client audiences to inform creative tone and storytelling. Track content performance across platforms, extract insights, and iterate to continuously improve. Partner directly with clients and internal teams; contribute to brainstorms and campaign planning. Travel up to 40% of the time to cover live events, activations, and shoots. Most Critical Outcome (MCO) Turn creativity into impact by producing content that resonates and performs on social. Compensation: $32.35 - $40.22 per hour. Benefits This role begins as a 6-month Independent Contractor role. However, if converted to full-time, you’ll gain access to a comprehensive package designed to support your growth and well-being, including: Unlimited PTO, plus your birthday off 401(k) with company match up to 4% Medical insurance, with STN covering 60% of the base plan Dental and vision coverage available 12 weeks of paid parental leave Paid sick leave and 9 paid company holidays Work-life balance perks like ending one hour early every Friday (paid) Wellness perks including a complimentary gym membership (24 Hour Fitness or ClassPass) and a paid 1-hour mental health break each week Apple laptop and iPhone provided for work Employee Assistance Program for confidential personal and professional support Requirements Required Skills & Abilities 2+ years of experience creating social-first, short-form content. Strong editing skills with mobile-first platforms (CapCut, etc.) and ability to deliver fast-turnaround edits. Confident on-camera presence with the ability to connect authentically with audiences. Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and content best practices. Skilled in static design (thumbnails, cover slides, memes, and graphics) using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva. Strong creative ideation skills, with the ability to storyboard and execute content end-to-end. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both client-facing and team environments. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including nights and weekends as events demand. Preferred Skills & Abilities Experience in sports and entertainment. Familiarity with agency or production environments. Obsessed with content performance and analytics, with the ability to iterate and optimize based on learnings. Self-starter with a growth mindset — motivated to experiment with new storytelling methods, editing techniques, and formats. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on experience creating social-first, short-form content within sports, entertainment, or agency settings.
