Tahtsa Timber is actively seeking Class 1 drivers.
Drivers will have hauls between Houston and Prince George (subject to change).
Tahtsa works hard to keep our employees working even during the “off seasons”, if at all possible. If a longer working season is something you’re looking for, we look forward to seeing your resume and driver’s abstract.

SKILLS:

  • Valid Class 1, commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Proven experience as a logging truck driver, off highway experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
    Note: The employee may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a logging/grind trucks, additional operation ability and asset including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklifts.
  • Load and unload materials or equipment onto the truck.
  • Transport materials or equipment to designated locations.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation.
