We are looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse and Logistics Assistant to support our SA team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate flow of stock and materials and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work across staging, build room preparation, project support and general business operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming stock and allocate to orders
  • Picking of stock for orders and delivery co-ordination
  • Organising the shipment of stock
  • Forward planning and management of stock movements and storage
  • Proactive monitoring of consumable stock levels
  • Operation of reach stacker
  • Participation in stock take counts
  • Processing of returned stock
  • Ad hoc Warehouse and logistics duties


As a Warehouse & Logistics Assistant working in our SA team, you will approach your work and your colleagues with a positive attitude and never hesitate to take the initiative to get the job done. You will bring to the role, and to the business, a hands-on approach and previous experience working in a warehouse environment, a systematic approach to your work, the ability to safely lift and move equipment in accordance with manual handling practices, great attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication. Strong PC skills are essential and experience with an ERP system will be advantageous.

Feramex is a Melbourne-based sheet metal manufacturing business supplying roofing systems and architectural cladding solutions to the residential and commercial construction sector.

Operating from our Tullamarine facility, we coordinate warehouse, transport and third-party logistics activities to reliably service customers across Victoria.

As we strengthen our frontline leadership capability, we are creating a dedicated role to improve logistics coordination, operational efficiency, safety and compliance.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead our day-to-day warehouse, transport, dispatch and 3PL operations.

This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, makes timely decisions and keeps the daily delivery schedule running safely, efficiently and on time.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Full time Logistics Supervisor will provide direct leadership and coordination across warehouse, transport, dispatch and third-party logistics operations.

The role will maintain visibility of daily logistics activity, allocate resources, coordinate drivers and transport schedules, resolve operational issues and ensure safety, customer service and performance objectives are achieved in a multi shift environment.

Success requires practical leadership, strong planning and the confidence to make sound operational decisions with minimal direction.

What you will be responsible for

Safety & Compliance

  • Leading safe and compliant warehouse, transport and dispatch operations
  • Ensuring Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle National Law obligations are consistently met, no exceptions

Leadership & Workforce Capability

  • Leading, motivating and developing warehouse, logistics and driver teams
  • Setting clear expectations and managing performance, attendance and daily workforce allocation
  • Building accountability, engagement and a team-first culture
  • Managing contractors and third-party logistics personnel to agreed standards

Operational Performance

  • Planning and coordinating daily warehouse, transport and dispatch activities
  • Executing the daily delivery schedule safely, efficiently and on time
  • Coordinating drivers, transport providers, warehouse resources and 3PL partners
  • Proactively resolving operational issues, incidents and non-conformances
  • Improving coordination between logistics, production and customer service
  • Managing vehicle and equipment maintenance programs and operational readiness
  • Monitoring safety, service, productivity and quality KPIs and maintaining accurate records
  • Stock/ inventory management and control

Continuous Improvement & Service

  • Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, resource use and logistics performance
  • Supporting reliable, accurate and customer-focused delivery outcomes
  • Driving practical improvement initiatives in a lean, fast-paced operating environment

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain operations
  • Previous experience supervising or leading frontline operational teams in a multi shift environment
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, transport, dispatch and delivery scheduling
  • Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements and Heavy Vehicle National Law
  • Demonstrated ability to plan resources, coordinate drivers and manage changing priorities in at times - just in time logistics operations.
  • Strong safety leadership, problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Experience managing employee performance, attendance and workforce allocation
  • Confidence using ERP, warehouse or transport management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Current Driver Licence, Forklift Licence and MR or HR Licence

The Opportunity

As our Logistics Administration Supervisor (Business Services Supervisor), you'll oversee and coach a busy operational administration team, ensuring the smooth flow of customer orders, invoicing, stock file maintenance, reporting and site support activities.

You'll be the go-to problem solver - partnering closely with Shift Supervisors and operational leaders, liaising directly with customers and ensuring our service delivery is accurate, timely and consistently excellent.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coaching and developing Business Services Representatives to deliver exceptional admin and customer service outcomes.
  • Overseeing daily administration activities, including customer orders, receipts, invoicing and purchase order accuracy.
  • Developing strong relationships with customers - handling escalations, supporting meetings and ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Maintaining customer master data, support stocktakes and assist in the resolution of inventory queries or variances.
  • Working closely with operational leaders to support daily productivity and site performance.
  • Ensuring site supplies, PPE, uniforms and consumables are maintained.
  • Participating in safety initiatives, data entry and compliance activities across FSANZ, HACCP and CoR.
  • Fostering a safe, high performing, engaged team culture that embraces continuous improvement and service excellence.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience in a similar operational admin or customer service leadership role.
  • A track record in supervising and coaching small to medium teams.
  • Excellent understanding of customer orders, stock movements, inventory queries and invoicing processes.
  • Well-developed communication, problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy and stay resilient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the logistics / supply chain environment (advantageous).
