Allyn International is currently looking for a full-time Logistics Analyst in Deer Park, TX to join our organization! The Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing outbound shipment activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction and performance improvement. This position works directly on-site at the client’s facility, to maintain the flow of goods shipping out of the plant, ensuring that both internal and external customer demands are fulfilled timely, compliantly, and completed according to standard processes and client deliverables.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Warehouse or shipping experience required
  • SAP Experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Pulling export BOL’s out of ALA (Allyn Transportation Management System), requesting to Freight Forwarders, pulling detailed tracking out of FedEx/DHL-Managing DDB Trackers for 1811-1815
  • If export BOL is not in company’s system, then manage the DDB Waiver Letter process, to ensure we can recover the Duty Drawback claims
  • If Flight details are not available, then manage the request process to Freight Forwarder to verify
  • Drive improvement within Shipping teams to ensure Export BOL is always uploaded to SAP
  • Identify & Drive improvements to automate internal SO process for future exports
  • Drive improvement to digitize documents into SAP for all Deliveries (i.e. new technology to facilitate better scanning, reduce manual paper storage)
  • Route and track all outbound cargo in accordance with customer requirements, including parcel, LTL, FTL, Air, and Ocean cargo
  • Provide contract or spot quote costs for outbound international and/or domestic orders
  • Communicate with shippers, brokers, customers, etc. as needed to facilitate the routing process and minimize the risk of issues and delays
  • Resolve international and domestic shipping issues and ensure appropriate client contacts are informed of any shipment issues
  • Coordinate and support export documentation filing and processing as needed, such as for certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and AES fillings
  • Interface regularly with client designated Logistics Execution Center (“LEC”) and use client designated TMS systems
  • Review customer’s purchase order (“PO”) to ensure Incoterms are correct as well as end-user information, pricing, ship to, a bill to, etc.
  • Verify all picks have the correct ship to, serial numbers (if needed), and shipment method; print packing slips as needed
  • Send pre-alerts with all customs documents to the customer, client’s Customer Service Representative and/or Accounting as needed
  • Coordinate with the customer’s freight forwarders to arrange pick up of goods or to arrange other shipping instructions
  • Close all shipments in SAP with tracking and/or freight cost
  • Verify that all shipments scheduled for pickup have left the facility; report discrepancies
  • Comply with agreed-upon document retention procedures
  • Actively look for and capture savings and added-value opportunities when possible
  • Coverage for each shift of the shipping department during service availability hours
  • Support the training of new employees as needed
