The Logistics Analyst is responsible for developing and executing the logistical plan, including daily leadership and long-term process improvement. The successful candidate must possess a strong system and business acumen. They will need to be highly effective in building working relationships with freight carriers and brokerage firms as well as their internal partners in customer service and warehouse operations. The candidate will grow to be a warehouse management system subject matter expert and help improve system processes.
We have trucks on the road 24/7, and this role serves as the first point of contact for carrier or delivery issues. The person in this role needs to be readily available by phone or email to address issues as they arise.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Logistical Planning & Execution

• Route outbound orders, secure customer delivery appointments, select carriers, communicate schedules to internal and external partners
• Negotiate logistics contracts and pricing agreements
• Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics, identify trends and analyze variances. Focus: minimize delivery costs, maximize delivery on-time delivery performance.
• Develop a strong understanding of the Footprint Warehouse Management System as part of this role
• Align data across multiple systems
• Other: any roles or responsibilities assigned by leadership

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability and desire to learn new systems, technical savviness, experience with ERP-type systems and advanced Excel skills
• Analytical skills, self-starting attributes, enthusiasm, and a results-oriented attitude
• Strong communication skills to work with internal and external partners, including transportation carriers, warehouse operations and customer service teams
• Ability to manage communication across multiple platforms – in-person, telephone, texting, emailing, Teams messaging
• Attention to detail and ability to align data across multiple systems and look for ways to optimize current data reconciliation and communication processes
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time
• 24/7 availability to address problems that arise

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of warehouse, logistics and distribution center operations
• General knowledge of inventory management
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
