Description:

In support of Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA), we are seeking a Logistics Analyst II with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols.
The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Create and manage the PM AAA Comment Resolution Matrix (CRM) for the review of draft Technical Manuals (TMs) and shall reconcile CRM responses and provide additional comments, if required. Perform in-depth analysis of the ACV Operator/Maintenance Technical Manuals source data delivered in Extensible Markup Language (XML) format and ensure compliance with the Technical Manual Contract Requirements (TMCR) and applicable Military Standards (MIL-STD). Provide analysis to the PM AAA TM manager. Conduct in-depth analysis associated with work packages delivered with TM deliveries, and shall determine and provide the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level study to the PM AAA TM manager. Maintain paper and electronic copies of draft TMs delivered to PM AAA by outside agencies. Assist with validating the accuracy and completeness of all change page information with delivered TMs. Assist in the Government’s development of Letters of Instruction (LOIs) for site visits and shall provide TM briefings to Marine users. Assist and participate in all aspects of TM validation.
Maintain the PM AAA Ammunition tracking spreadsheet on a daily basis for all PM AAA testing events conducted by FY and by test location. Add or delete testing events, adjust ammunition request quantities as requested by a Government representative, and maintain an ammunition calculator to ensure proper quantity unit packs of ammunition are ordered for a test event.

Perform the following tasks to include, but not limited to:

  • Under limited supervision, leads and directs integrated logistics support (ILS) activities designed to provide effective and efficient life cycle support of systems and equipment.
  • Recommends ILS element planning and progress to ensure compliance with program requirements, specifications, and standards, analyzes models and optimized distribution networks using advanced logistics software for location of sites, allocation of resources, inventory placement, and size, selection of transportation mode, freight consolidation, closed loop tours, and continuous moves.
  • Provide supervision to Junior Logistics Analyst.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree with 6 years of experience.
Six (6) years of related progressive professional work experience in Life-Cycle Logistics planning and management with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in at least two directly related technological areas, including experience in all phases of logistics acquisition and logistics planning. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

SPECIFIC/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Perform the following tasks to include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain PM AAA Ammunition Request Worksheet forms;
  • Perform reconciliation in Total Ammunition Management Information System to ensure expenditures and turn-ins are recorded and balanced against the PM AAA Ammunition Tracking Spreadsheet;
  • Develop, maintain, and annually update the PM AAA Ammunition Declaration of Authorities to ensure only authorized individuals can receive ammunition allocated for PM AAA testing events;
  • Perform research to ensure the correct DoD Identification Code is used when requesting ammunition for testing events;
  • Perform calculations for required ammunition to be rolled over to the next FY and assess the impacts to current requirements;
  • Process all ammunition requests that are received from PM AAA Test Engineers by the required submission date, and participate in PM Ammunition meetings and training events to maintain PM Ammunition processes knowledge; and
  • Assist in the development of the PM AAA ammunition process, track key dates, and ensure all ammunition projections are complete.
