Resumen This role supports import/export operations, IMMEX compliance, and cross-border logistics processes while minimizing risk and ensuring timely material flow. Responsabilidades Mains Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with customs regulations (U.S. and Mexico), including IMMEX program requirements. Manage and validate import/export documentation such as: Commercial invoices Packing lists Certificates of origin Pedimentos Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders. Monitor and ensure accurate tariff classification (HTS codes) and country of origin determination. Support audits (internal and external) and maintain proper documentation records. Track and report compliance KPIs (customs accuracy, clearance time, penalties). Review and ensure compliance with trade agreements (USMCA/T-MEC). Identify risks and implement corrective/preventive actions related to customs compliance. Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance to ensure proper import/export data. Ensure compliance with duty deferral programs and cost optimization strategies. Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and communicate impacts to the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in: International Trade, Logistics / Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field 3–5 years of experience in customs compliance within a manufacturing or maquiladora environment Strong knowledge of: IMMEX regulations Mexican customs law U.S. import/export regulations Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders Advanced knowledge of tariff classification (HTS) and customs valuations. Advanced English (Professional / Business level preferent).
