Description
Seeking a Data Center Logistics Specialist in Houston, TX to oversee end-to-end logistics and asset lifecycle operations supporting hyper-scale data center infrastructure. This role ensures precise inventory control, efficient material flow, and uninterrupted data center operations through effective coordination of receiving, shipping, asset tracking, and vendor management preventing delays caused by logistics or inventory gaps. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00pm (may require on call) Salary: $100k - $150K/ year Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity) Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms Health, dental, and vision insurance Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms Relocation assistance provided for the right candidate Responsibilities Maintain comprehensive asset tracking from receipt through decommissioning, including asset tagging, labeling, and accurate data entry in asset management systems Manage inbound and outbound shipments; verify quantities, inspect for damage, and update tracking systems in real time Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain 99%+ accuracy; proactively monitor stock levels to prevent shortages Fulfill parts requests for data center technicians and engineers quickly and accurately Maintain organized staging areas for deployments, break-fix activities, and project materials Coordinate with vendors to process RMAs, warranty claims, and equipment replacements Support vendor and delivery personnel access, including coordinating security escorts as required Generate inventory reports, dashboards, and performance metrics related to inventory turns, accuracy, and obsolescence Document processes and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain within a technology or manufacturing environment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL, or other data analysis and reporting tools Experience supporting hyperscale data centers or large colocation providers (preferred) Hands-on experience with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and asset tracking databases (preferred) Knowledge of IT hardware, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and data center components (preferred) Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally (preferred) If you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
