Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Logistics and Inventory Coordinator.
The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments without compromising the quality of Activate’s operations and ensuring our product is efficiently delivered to our national and international customers. Additionally, the Logistics and Inventory Coordinator will assist in managing Activate’s manufacturing inventory. This is a full-time, permanent position.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with MS Office and ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- 1-2 years in logistics, inventory management or a combination thereof
- Ability to adjust to different timelines and demands
- Ability to source information and complete documents for international shipping
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Commitment to health and safety policies
Responsibilities:
Outbound/Inbound Shipping Management
- Generate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork; ensure all shipment and legal documentation is complete and accurate
- Coordinate and execute outbound shipping activities, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements
- Keep detailed records of outbound shipments, including tracking information, delivery confirmation, and any discrepancies
- Monitor and optimize shipping costs, negotiating favorable rates with carriers to maximize cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality
- Manage and oversee incoming and outgoing products and materials to ensure accurate deliveries
- Serve as an intermediary between the customer and the carrier to help resolve any issues
- Review and address discrepancies in carrier invoices, collaborating with relevant teams
- Assist in analyzing trends to manage demand and improve overall process efficiency
Inventory Management
- Liaise with manufacturing to perform cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy
- Perform route-cause analysis of any inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective action as required
- Update cycle counts in Epicor to maintain accurate inventory records
- Coordinate the storage and movement of materials between warehouses
- Receive and resolve incoming requests involving transaction discrepancies reported by Operations or Purchasing
- Review store orders and remedies out of stock delays and mis-shipments
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
