Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Leading the charge for our Logistics team and third-party logistics (3PLs) partners keeping inventory accurate, stock optimized, and operations seamless.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, factories, suppliers, and 3PLs to keep Samlex’s supply chain running strong.
  • Diving into data and business analysis to spot opportunities, fix bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Being the go-to problem solver for shipment hiccups, inventory discrepancies, and non-conforming product management.
  • Supporting and empowering the team with clear goals, ongoing support, and a encouraging a culture of collaboration.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Inventory & Logistics:

  • Lead inventory oversight at third-party warehouses, resolving discrepancies and keeping stock levels on point.
  • Manage the evaluation and timely resolution of non-conforming products.
  • Track 3PL performance metrics and lead initiatives to boost efficiency and on-time deliveries.

Inventory Movement:

  • Build rock-solid relationships with 3PLs and carriers to ensure smooth freight flows.
  • Coordinate shipments from factories to customers with precision and care.
  • Monitor freight spend and hunt down cost-saving opportunities.

Team Leadership & Operational Excellence:

  • Lead your team in shipping, receiving, inventory maintenance, and purchase processing.
  • Drive performance, development, and growth through coaching and clear priorities.
  • Collaborate across teams to update standard operating procedures and maintain operational agility.
  • Step up for cross-functional support and keep business continuity on track.

Trade Compliance

  • Assist with trade compliance audits, self assessments and risk mitigation
  • Create and submit commercial documents from export to various Government agencies
  • First point of contact to trade compliance inquiries from carriers and/or customs brokers.
