Job Introduction
The Process Chemistry team in the UK provides leading R&D, GMP and API services to our international clients. Having recently undergone a period of growth and expansion, we are looking for a Logistics and Materials Management Coordinator to provide support for our key manufacturing operations onsite. Working with our project teams of scientists and professional staff.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education, diploma/HND or Degree in business or logistics related discipline.
  • Strong administrative skills. attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Excellent planning and organization skills - Ability to multi-task, manage time and accept changing priorities.
  • Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Work within and ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams and environment.
  • IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Business experience in supply chain or logistics
  • Experience of import and export of chemicals / pharmaceuticals, especially of import of API into the US is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced admin role, working to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry and of GMP.
  • Experience in communicating and building relationships with suppliers.
  • Chemical safety and handling.
  • Previous experience of 5S and Lean methodologies.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of a growing high tech pharmaceutical business; support and define business processes that manage materials movement, shipping and supply chain.
  • Provide key administrative support to our business enabling key client materials to be shipped in an efficient, timely and compliant manner.
  • Work with and direct central site functions for routine shipping and procurement tasks.
  • As the primary client-facing shipping contact, liaise with project leads to arrange collections with the relevant third-party logistics partner.
  • Ensure clear information flow for customs and finance purposes.
  • Manage and build relationships with Clients and Suppliers
  • Drive improvements of practices and processes.
  • Assist with project material ordering and duties relating to purchasing activities are performed.
  • Support the flow of product materials into the business and through the approval aspect of the QMS in the best possible timeframe.

This role would suit a recent graduate or someone in a business or logistics function who wants to expand their career. They will responsible for the movement and compliance of high value Pharmaceutical products in a highly regulated environment. Formal and industry training is available and the candidate will be expected to develop with the business in a supervisory role.
