SUMMARY:

The Logistics & Planning Coordinator is essential to the daily execution and coordination of supply chain activities within the Logistics and Planning functions for Kyowa Kirin’s North America operations. This role is focused on tactical planning and logistics activities related to the movement and availability of products into, within, and out of the North America region. The Logistics & Planning Coordinator collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, both locally and globally, to ensure uninterrupted product supply for Kyowa Kirin patients. Key responsibilities include managing purchase order and packaging schedule planning, conducting inventory reconciliation, coordinating freight operations, and tracking performance across supply, packaging, and warehouse sites. This position is critical to achieving the company’s goals for supply reliability and resilience.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or closely related discipline. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS) is a plus..
Experience
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Product and Logistics Planning in GxP compliant environment, preferably in cold chain biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in regulated industries, including processes related to change control, deviation management, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Technical Skills
Process flow & continuous improvement mindset. Digitally savvy with supply/logistics applications. Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end supply chain transactions to support supply chain strategy execution.
  • Act as a key user of transactional and operations systems, including ERP, Logistics platforms, e-QMS, and Digital Control Tower.
  • Coordinate daily product planning activities, contract packaging operations, and third-party logistics (3PL) and freight forwarding services.
  • Gather and analyze data to support key performance indicator (KPI) reporting; investigate exception cases to ensure GxP compliance and adherence to e-QMS processes.
  • Support the North America Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Contribute to KPI reporting and management processes
  • Support the execution and tracking of risk mitigation strategies across the supply chain
  • Assist in the execution and monitoring of supply chain budgets.
  • Perform additional supply chain management responsibilities as assigned.
