Description

We are looking for a highly organised Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to lead the end-to-end procurement, stock management, and distribution strategy for our group of hospitality venues. The role involves overseeing over £1.5 million in annual stock procurement within our primary venue and across our three sister venues all located in the North East area ( Seahouses and Beadnell), coordinating with multiple national suppliers, and optimising the efficiency and compliance of the supply chain.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the logistics and procurement strategy for the company’s venues
  • Manage relationships and contracts with key suppliers including Brakes, Bidfood, LWC, Bookers, Carlsberg Marstons, and Matthew Clark
  • Coordinate procurement of wet and dry goods totaling over £1.5 million per annum
  • Monitor stock usage across all sites and maintain optimal stock levels to avoid waste or shortages
  • Ensure all deliveries are timely and comply with internal quality standards and external health and safety requirements
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes
  • Negotiate supplier pricing and terms to maximise cost-efficiency
  • Support budgeting and forecasting related to supply chain
  • Liaise with general managers and kitchen/bar teams at each site to forecast demand
  • Organise internal stock transfers and logistics between venues when needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, storage, and transport regulations
Our business operates in a small rural village where the local workforce is predominantly made up of students and seasonal workers. As a result, it has become increasingly difficult to recruit and retain full-time, experienced logistics and supply chain personnel on a permanent basis. The nature of this role — which involves managing complex supplier relationships, overseeing procurement for multiple sites, and ensuring consistent year-round stock control — requires stability, continuity, and a level of skill and commitment not typically available through local or temporary labour.
We are therefore seeking to sponsor a skilled overseas worker who can fill this essential, full-time, and long-term role, ensuring our operations run efficiently and our supply chain remains uninterrupted across all sites
