POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics and Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, employees, and layout while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role manages staffing, materials, and workflows for receiving, shipping, and special projects such as custom packaging and repacks. The Logistics and Warehouse Manager works closely with the Inventory Team to confirm freight, maintain documentation, and resolve issues.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of previous experience in a warehouse management position
  • 5+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment and warehouse operations and logistics
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Skilled in safety management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety across all functions.
  • Manage warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff (full-time and part-time), fostering a productive team environment.
  • Monitor staffing levels to meet operational needs and adjust labor resources as required.
  • Oversee receiving processes, including scheduling inbound trucks, supervising unloading, and ensuring proper documentation is provided to relevant teams.
  • Manage shipping operations by verifying accuracy of outgoing orders, preparing bills of lading, and coordinate transfers between warehouse locations.
  • Partner with the Inventory Team to confirm all incoming and outgoing freight and provide required shipment documentation to the inventory department.
  • Ensure timely execution of special projects such as custom packaging, repacks, labeling, and sticker application.
  • Research and resolve order discrepancies, miss-ships, and other issues by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of warehouse materials (e.g., cartons, pallets, shrink wrap) to support daily operations.
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including order accuracy, shipping timelines, and labor efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, logistics, and procurement) to align warehouse operations with business needs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
