QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in logistics, shipping, or trade documentation (automotive sector preferred).
  • Familiar with LC documentation, BL endorsements, Dubai Trade, and JAFZA customs processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in documents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of Zoho Books/Inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English (written & spoken);

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Logistics & Documentation Assistant to join our operations team in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The candidate will be responsible for handling import/export documentation, coordinating with shipping lines, banks, and clearing agents, and ensuring timely and accurate compliance with Letter of Credit (LC) requirements and Dubai Customs regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and verify shipping documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Exchange, etc.) in line with LC terms.
  • Coordinate with banks for LC document submissions and ensure full compliance.
  • Liaise with shipping agents, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange shipments and clearance.
  • Manage Dubai Trade & DP World portals for 303 / 502 / 306 Declarations and other customs procedures.
  • Track and monitor shipments and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in port clearance, duty deposit tracking, and warehouse documentation.
  • Support finance team in reconciling LC charges, freight, and duty-related expenses.
  • Maintain organized soft and hard copies of documents for audits.
  • Bank related work such as payment tracking, reconciliation etc
