Logistics Associate – HERD Location: Winnipeg, MB Employment Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday Are you looking for a role where your expertise in logistics and customs clearance is truly valued? We are a leading manufacturer of truck bumpers, committed to delivering top-quality products on time, and we are looking for a Logistics Associate who will play a critical role in this mission. Key Responsibilities: Customs Clearance & International Shipments: Prepare and manage all customs documentation for overseas shipments. Ensure compliance with USA and Canadian import/export regulations. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Materials Handling & Knowledge: Apply expertise in steel and aluminum, including country of melt and pour knowledge, to support material handling, inventory management, and production coordination. Order Fulfillment & Transportation: Build shipments according to the production line schedule. Create stock transfer and customer orders, ensuring accurate processing and on-time shipment. Arrange transportation and schedule pickups with carriers and logistics providers. Prepare and manage all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork. Generate daily shipment invoice reports and end-of-month shipment summaries for management. Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of logistics experience, with proven experience in customs clearance for international shipments (USA & Canada). Strong understanding of steel and aluminum materials, including country of melt and pour knowledge. Excellent computer, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
