We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Centre Consultant. You will support the PSLD leadership team with business insights and analytics on key logistics and operational topics. Further you will implement and continuously improve all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity leveraging digital skills and data driven decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in warehousing / distribution operations / transportation
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skillset (e.g. PowerBI, Excel, SQL queries).
  • Python is a plus

  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus
  • Preference for candidates with a deep understanding of data sources and managing of data through various platforms (e.g. Dashboards, Snowflake).

Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a
constructive and collaborative manner.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products. Ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage and handling of heterogenous parts

Responsibilities
  • Applying lean manufacturing principles to assist with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
  • Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
  • Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
  • Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
