Job Description Job Summary The Logistics and Compliance Specialist is responsible for directly supporting the Sievers Analytical Instruments business (~ 340 employees) with all compliance elements related to inbound and outbound logistics occurring within the Boulder, Colorado site. They will also assist the adjacent organizations in the countries where our Analytical Instruments and Consumables are manufactured to ensure products and services are delivered compliantly in accordance with local standards and regulations. Key Characteristics Strong knowledge of end to end import/export processes Self-motivated problem solver Organized and attentive to details Ability to install new processes Duties & Responsibilities Analyze current processes and act as a change agent for areas of improvement and optimization Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following (list not exhaustive): Dangerous Goods Shipping, Hazmat, SDS, Extended Producer Responsibilities (EPR), ROHS, Reach, Conflict Minerals, PFA’s, Free Trade Agreement submissions, maintaining Country of Origin data, and ensuring compliance with WEEE directive Arrange external testing and validations with outside parties or notified bodies Troubleshoot inbound and outbound shipping issues with carriers pertaining to Customs documentation. Submit and maintain ECCN and HS codes Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience implementing processes and procedures with global and local teams. Ability to lead change, work in a fast paced environment and operate independently to deliver business results. Experience working with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, including applications and renewals, and with external audits. Familiarity with Incoterms, Certificates of Origin, Importer Declarations Prior operational experience within a global manufacturing and distribution enterprise. Familiarity with ISTA 2A, 7E, and cold chain requirements Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Environmental Science At least 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in chemical management, life sciences, or medical device industries.
