Job Description: This role is responsible for the safe, compliant handling of energetic articles (munitions), overseeing their receipt, storage, and despatch at Ridsdale. The postholder will manage site storage capacity, maintain accurate explosives records, and ensure government‑funded assets are controlled and accounted for throughout their lifecycle. Core duties: Ensure safe receipt and despatch of energetic articles (munitions) to and from Ridsdale Manage site storage areas to optimise footprint and meet requirements Maintain and control explosives storage records, including weekly movement inspections Manage all government funded assets, including receipt, returns, spares, and inventory compliance Arrange transport for energetic deliveries and streamline schedules to reduce costs (ADR/CDG) Manage equipment calibration, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Essential Skills: Previous experience in logistics stores roles, coordinating movement of assets and components on and offsite Ability to work within teams, organising workloads effectively while performing under pressure when required consistently Experience working in hazardous environments with clear understanding of licensing limits and compliance requirements applicable Experience conducting audits, inventory checks and inspections in line with company schedules and procedures requirements Ridsdale Test & Evaulation Team: The Logisitics Controller will be the primary focus point for stores, including government funded assets (GFA) and transport management within the Ridsdale range. The Logistics Controller will also be responsible for the effective implementation of company and site procedures relating to the control and management of energetic stores. Why BAE Systems?
