Description This position is responsible for leading and monitoring a group of assigned team members to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization. Directs the day-to-day production activities of the team Conducts training to team members in his/her assigned area Empowers team to meet daily production goals/overall efficiency Performs production work when manning is low or builds are under efficiency Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with equipment and elevate to maintenance, if necessary Willingness to learn to operate all cells/presses/mobile equipment in designated area Inspect parts for defects and elevates to Quality for assistance, if necessary Promotes Kaizen activities to improve processes and procedures Creates and implements countermeasures for abnormalities or defects Provides direction and guidance for all team members Must be able to be rotated in all team leader positions within the facility Understands the Strengths and Weakness of Team Members and be able to coach and lead progressive discipline Must be able to speak to, and report out to FMDS boards and current conditions within their designated areas Organizing tasks and setting goals Upholding the vision of the company and department and have got working relationships with support groups. Solving problems and resolving conflicts Implement/maintain applicable management systems, processes, monitors, and continually improve its results Ensures that the facility is in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental requirements. Must ensure the safety of work assignments and workspaces, assign safety training related to hazards, provide safety procedures and equipment, correctly identify hazards.
