LOGISTICS COORDINATOR ASSISTANT

We are growing and are looking for a career-minded Logistics Coordinator Assistant to join our team. This position has growth opportunity for the right individual.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Has worked with Magaya Software System
  • Works great under pressure and as part of a team or independently
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Undergraduate degree is an asset.
  • CIFFA Dangerous Goods Certificate is an asset.
  • Previous experience with NAFTA, INCOTERMS, COO, HS Codes, B13, and other exports documentation is an asset.
  • Has worked as a Freight Forwarded in the past - Mandatory
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: From $23.60 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 per week

Responsibilities
  • Handle LTL/FTL trucking within North America
  • Handle Ocean / Air Imports and exports and required documents
  • Handle domestic Canada/USA, import, and export courier shipments.
  • Obtain quotes from various carriers and evaluate pricing.
  • Prepare bill of ladings and verify packing lists, purchase orders, customs documents, certificates of origin, USMCA documentation, B13, hazmat cargo declarations, import and export permits etc.
  • Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed, and released to carriers, customers and agents in a timely manner.
  • Dispatch pick-ups to authorized agents and drayage companies, trucking companies, warehouses, and all other parties involved in the shipment.
  • Track and trace road, intermodal, and courier shipments
  • Troubleshoot any issues regarding billing, carriers, clearing agents, warehouses, and all other parties involved in the shipment.
  • Work with our internal system to accurately input billing and update all shipment information daily.
  • Communicate with clients daily to quote, update shipment status, and answer any questions they may have.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to all customers.
  • Ensure timely resolution of freight requests.
