Job Summary:
Transportation Engineer (“TE”) – The TE will coordinate all wind turbine generator component deliveries
from their point of receipt on the Project through offload at the pad site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The TE will record arrival and
offload times for each delivery to ensure any demurrage charges are accurate captured. The TE will work
with the CM and the contractor’s Civil Superintendent to ensure that pad sites are ready for delivery and
offload and will assist the OEM and CM in the assessment of site readiness including proof rolls and/or
penetrometer testing. The TE will ensure that components arrive at the pad site in the proper order required
for expedient and efficient offloading and will work with the OEM on component delivery schedule forecasts.
The TE will assist the CSM and ACSM with daily component delivery PODs and will coordinate with
contractor offload crews to ensure offloading equipment is staged and ready for upcoming component
deliveries.
Skills

  • Experience with BIM360, Procore, or other project management software a plus.
  • Experience with document storage systems, Bluebeam, Adobe
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Open-minded and positive attitude
  • Coach approach, be willing to teach and be taught

Employment Type

  • 100% Travel – Rotational 3 weeks on and 6 days off

Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in the wind construction industry as a wind turbine logistics
