Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join the organisation and coordinate aeromedical resources in a fast-paced mission critical team.
Reporting to the Head of Eastern Operations the key objective for this role will be to ensure a customer centric approach is applied with all client interactions, and all coordination responsibilities are performed in an efficient safe, professional and expedient manner.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving patient medical referral information from customers on initial contact.
  • Activating the most appropriate assets and crew resources for the mission.
  • Coordinating ground transport components and any companion / relative travel.
  • Monitoring timings and flight progress, including service delivery failures.
  • Maintaining communication with stakeholders regarding incoming flights / patients / clinical status.
  • Coordinating patient transfer from one mode of transport to another as appropriate.
  • Collect and collate mission and other data for internal/external KPI reporting.
  • Progressively entering case information into database.
  • Producing various reports, including daily status reports.
  • Conducting handover to next shift in a thorough and careful manner.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a logistics environment.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team under pressure.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven IT skills in a range of applications and data entry (including typing skills).
  • Ability to multi-task, strategise and prioritise.

Desirable

  • Prior experience in a patient dispatch or retrieval role (air or road).
  • Prior experience in aircraft operations / scheduling.
  • Holds qualifications in emergency communications and / or logistics.
  • Knowledge of aviation-based systems such as Air Maestro or similar.
