Reliable is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support our continued growth and become a key contributor to our expanding Commercial Fleet Services (“CFS”) team.
Reliable’s CFS division is a highly collegial group that is growing quickly and is looking for an additional growth-oriented operations professional to join the team. The ideal candidate appreciates a challenging and fast-paced environment and has the required ambition to drive significant growth. The candidate will have a strong understanding of fleet dispatch coordination, operations, and logistics. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong analytical skills and an ability to represent the company in a personable and professional manner.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The CFS Logistics Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient dispatching and coordination of our fleet services. This individual will be responsible for overseeing fleet availability, scheduling, and communication between customers, fleet managers, and operators. They will help optimize resources, improve response times, and ensure top-tier customer service, all while maintaining operational efficiency and quality control.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating dispatch team members, assuring contingency planning, resource planning, and proper deployment of equipment to meet job requirements
  • Effectively communicate with customers, tow truck operators, and internal teams to ensure job assignments are well-organized and completed efficiently.
  • Ensure operators receive proper instructions to perform their duties in a timely and safe manner.
  • Coordinating with general managers and local operators to monitor fleet availability and deployment.
  • Conduct payment verifications and ensure compliance with operational protocols.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, operators, and internal teams. Forecasting fleet demand and availability to optimize scheduling and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate entries in Towbooks, Samsara, and other fleet management systems.
  • Ensuring fleet availability targets related to truck uptime are met or exceeded
  • Overseeing quality control by utilizing data and key performance indicators

Necessary Skills:

  • Confidence, integrity, and hands-on approach
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor and as part of a team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three or more years of operations and logistics experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with fleet managers, sales reps, and dispatchers
  • Familiarity with the transportation industry is preferred
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree, preferably in business and operations management
  • Basic troubleshooting of fleet support systems such as GPS and cameras.
  • Develops standardization, continuous improvement & other Fleet Maintenance strategies.
