We have an immediate opening for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in downtown Toronto.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will facilitate our incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is critical in the efficient operation of all our inbound and outbound logistics to meet customer needs. We mostly ship boxes via FedEx, and sometimes pallets via LTL.
Our ideal candidate will possess a great attitude, strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Continuing education or certification in logistics is a nice-to-have
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a shipping/receiving role
  • Experience coordinating with multiple sites, and third party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Proven experience within a fast-paced environment, specifically in a small, growth-oriented company
  • Proficient in the use of shipping software and the Google suite of products.
  • Experience using an ERP is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (40 lbs) and stand for extended periods during the day.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Picking, packing and preparing paperwork for outbound shipments
  • Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments
  • Creating work orders, packing slips, commercial invoices and other documentation required to ship inventory accurately, on-time and on-budget
  • Packaging products in boxes, on pallets, wrapping and protecting shipments in such a manner that they arrive intact to our clients in North America and beyond
  • Coordinating with carriers and scheduling shipments for timely delivery
  • Ensuring our software systems are updated in a timely manner for real-time updates and decision making
  • Handling regular communication with clients and/or suppliers, providing status updates with diplomacy and tact
  • Quoting, comparing and researching various shipping options and carriers, and staying up to date on market options
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of shipments
