As a Logistics Coordinator you are responsible for coordinating and executing day-to-day logistics and supply chain operations to ensure the efficient flow of materials, finished goods, and information across the organization. This role manages shipment scheduling, transportation arrangements, purchase and shipping order processing, inventory tracking, and communication with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. The Logistics Coordinator supports on-time delivery by proactively tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate documentation and system records. This position collaborates cross-functionally to improve logistics processes and drive operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards for service, cost, safety, and compliance. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to: * Transportation & Freight Coordination: Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel, etc.). Partner with carriers, brokers, and vendors to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, damages, or service issues. * Order & Purchase Order Processing / Inventory Support: Accurately process shipping and receiving transactions, including pick, pack, and system posting. Review and manage purchase orders to ensure alignment with shipments, pricing, and quantities. Verify all supporting documentation (BOLs, packing slips, invoices) and assist with inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution. * Documentation & Data Management: Maintain organized and accurate shipping and receiving records, including scanning and filing documentation. Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in BC, WMS, and ERP systems to support audit readiness and reporting accuracy. * Reporting & Analysis: Utilize Excel and system reporting tools to track shipments, freight costs, and performance metrics. Monitor key performance indicators (on-time delivery, cost efficiency, error rates) and identify trends or opportunities for continuous improvement. * Compliance & Safety: Ensure all shipments comply with company policies, GMP standards, and applicable transportation regulations. Follow proper procedures for hazardous materials when applicable and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED required. * Experience working with carriers, freight scheduling, or inventory management systems. * Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment, preferably within food or beverage production. * Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adherence to quality and safety standards. Preferred Qualifications: * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. * 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations. * Strong organizational, critical thinking, and planning abilities. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Effective communication skills (email, phone, and in-person). * Proficiency with systems such as Business Central, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Smartsheet. * High sense of urgency with the ability to drive tasks and projects to completion. * Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. * Knowledge of transportation regulations, routing, and freight documentation (BOLs, packing lists, etc.).
