A Logistic Coordinator is a hands-on position responsible for scheduling and prioritizing forklift teams daily activities and ensuring daily order picking goals are achieved.. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Two years of experience working in manufacturing or logistics.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Excel, knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
Responsibilities
  • Shipment Planning & Coordination
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor transportation to ensure on-time arrival and troubleshoot delays.
  • Inventory Management
  • Ensure timely put-away of finished goods and materials.
  • Track inventory movement and ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain correct stock levels.
  • Run location audits and work with forklift drivers to locate missing pallets.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Organize and audit staging locations.
  • Order Fulfillment
  • Process customer orders and ensure correct and timely delivery.
  • Schedule and prioritize forklift teams daily activities and ensure daily order picking goals are achieved.
  • Communicate with internal teams to align on order status and special handling needs.
  • Ensure packing and shipping standards are followed.
  • Carrier & Vendor Communication
  • Act as the point of contact between the company and third-party logistics providers.
  • Resolve shipment issues and maintain carrier relationships.
  • Ensure all carriers comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare shipping documents (BOLs, customs paperwork, etc.).
  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements.
  • System Updates & Reporting
  • Enter and update logistics data in ERP or transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Generate reports on delivery performance and order fulfillment rates.
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, warehouse, and customer service teams.
  • Support planning activities to align logistics with production schedules and customer needs.
