Description Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting fleet operations, asset management, logistics coordination, and technology deployment across the organization. This position ensures company assets are properly tracked, maintained, documented, and deployed while providing support for Samsara fleet management systems, mobile devices, transportation logistics, and operational compliance requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and charge Samsara fleet management devices and associated equipment. Configure, test, deploy, and support tablets and other technology devices used by field personnel. Manage and maintain the Samsara database, ensuring accurate asset information, tracking, and reporting. Train employees on tablet operation, Samsara usage, data entry procedures, and related technologies. Conduct inspections of company assets prior to deployment and upon return to company facilities. Create, maintain, and administer Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other transportation documentation. Coordinate shipment loads with brokers, drivers, and internal personnel while ensuring vehicle capability and load requirements are met. Maintain fleet documentation and distribute required permits, registrations, and vehicle-related documents. Monitor vehicle registrations and coordinate license plate replacements and renewals as required. Conduct fleet surveys and collect operational data to support asset management and reporting initiatives. Perform security checks of remotely located assets and company equipment. Assist drivers with securing assets during transportation operations. Report asset defects, maintenance concerns, and operational issues to management. Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and damage claims in a timely manner Assist maintenance personnel and mechanics with daily operational tasks as needed. Manage yard operations, including organizing and coordinating asset parking locations. Communicate with internal departments, vendors, brokers, drivers, and other entities to coordinate logistics and operational support. Run business-related errands and complete special projects as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Work Environment This position requires work in office, yard, shop, and field environments. The Logistics Coordinator will regularly interact with drivers, mechanics, brokers, vendors, customers, and company personnel to support transportation, fleet, and asset management operations. Requirements Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency with computers, tablets, mobile devices, and related software applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Samsara fleet management systems or similar telematics platforms. Experience in logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or asset management. Knowledge of vehicle registration requirements, transportation documentation, and fleet compliance. Experience training employees on technology platforms and operational procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work around vehicles and heavy equipment. Ability to travel locally to company facilities and asset locations as required.
