Position Description Title: Logistics Coordinator Department: Operations Reports to: Supply Chain Supervisor Status: Full time Position Purpose: Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for prioritizing orders, responding to inquiries, and inputting inventory information into Prism. Principle Accountabilities Set appointments for inbound deliveries Work with Transplace to set pickup and delivery appointments, shipment routing and freight quotes Track shipments and notify carriers for daily pickups Process orders through CAPP applications Assign carriers Apply PROS Print BOLS/Pack list File paperwork Review back-orders daily, send report to supervisor, close backorders Process inventory adjustments Provide information and submit custom documentation for exports Receive PO’s into CAPP and search PO details in CAPP to determine and fix errors Correctly communicate exceptions on PO’s to obtain corrections Process returns through RA system Verify inventory and complete ASNs for inventory going to warehouse Actively participate in the year end physical inventory Calculate rate charges for add freight shipments Additional duties as required. Essential Skills and Experience Highschool diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates, Diploma or a Bachelor's in business Admin, Supply chain management or Operations management in considered a strong asset. Must have a good understanding of shipping, warehouse and transportation methods. Knowledge of material and freight rates. Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written). Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Highly organized and reliable, a self-starter, and a strong attention to detail. Well experienced in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), and comfortable working on computers and learning new software applications. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Experienced using shipping and receiving functions in a large ERP system is an asset. College Diploma would be an asset. Why Choose IPG?
