JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Traffic Coordinator to oversee and manage the flow of materials and information within our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all logistical processes run smoothly, facilitating communication between departments, and optimizing transportation routes. This role is critical in maintaining efficiency and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of incoterms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and managing schedules.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail to address challenges proactively.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and best practices is a plus.
  • Experience in the apparel industry an asset

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the scheduling and routing of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor transportation activities and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, customs brokers and internal teams to streamline processes.
  • Coordinate documentation for customs brokers, including ISFs for ocean shipments, HS coding, fabric content, specialized certificates for apparel, etc…
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the transportation process.
  • Assist operations team with customer order processing
