OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain process, ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, and optimizing transportation management. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, and vendor management. REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills, and tools such as SQL or Tableau for reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, and negotiation techniques.
  • Experience with inventory management practices including stocking, materials management, and freight operations.
  • Understanding of e-commerce logistics and 3PL operations is a plus.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or warehouse operations (preferably in import/export or food distribution)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with freight booking, customs documents, and warehouse coordination
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting systems is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the logistics operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments from suppliers and to customers
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight forwarders and trucking companies
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation (BOLs, labels, invoices, packing lists, customs paperwork)
  • Manage warehouse distribution processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and manage procurement activities.
  • Implement transportation planning strategies to optimize freight costs and improve service levels.
  • Maintain accurate records in transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct root cause analysis for any logistical issues that arise and develop solutions accordingly.
  • Support demand planning efforts by analyzing inventory levels and forecasting needs.
  • Assist in the development of category management strategies to enhance product sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in materials handling.
