WHO WE ARE:

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD’s materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK’s defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the pivotal point of contact for the logistics team, ensuring seamless coordination across the supply chain.
You will work closely with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations, provide critical briefs on team activities, and leverage data analysis to optimize performance and support customer decisions.
Your role will also involve planning, coordinating, and supervising key stakeholder engagement meetings, leading initiatives to enhance logistical processes, and identifying potential risks to develop robust mitigation strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Act as the primary liaison between the logistics team and various stakeholders
• Ensure smooth communication and coordination across the supply chain

Communication and Briefing:

• Provide regular updates and briefs on team activities to stakeholders
• Maintain clear and effective communication channels

Data Analysis and Decision Making:

• Utilise data analysis to make informed decisions and optimise supply chain performance
• Track trends and provide insights to inform customer decisions

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise key stakeholder engagement meetings
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration

Process Improvement:

• Lead initiatives to continuously improve supply chain processes
• Incorporate the latest industry practices and technologies to enhance efficiency

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks within the supply chain
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure resilience
