Description Coordinate shipping/receiving functions including truck routing, appointments, lumper payments, and general administrative logistics functions. Support sales team with administrative functions. Provide additional support to the Logistics Manager as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning and tracking shipment activity. Maintain all pertinent records ensuring fine-tuned accuracy. Dispatch inhouse trucks and all third-party carriers throughout service area to achieve the highest level of customer service. Resolve routing delays and expedite shipments as required to uphold customer satisfaction. Maintain communication between drivers and customers as needed. Utilize organizational equipment and updated required information into systems complied with state and federal rules, procedures, and regulations. Correspond with customers, report client requests. Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Support a positive and professional work environment that is conducive to excellent service to customers and coworkers. Provide backup in the absence of Logistics Manager. Perform related duties as needed. Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: Associate degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field. Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and problem solve effectively. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft® Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word). Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset.
