Description
  • Managing and coordinating external logistics and transportation providers (road, ocean, and air freight)
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring delivery schedules
  • Preparing, reviewing, and archiving shipping and transportation documents
  • Supporting import and export operations
  • Preparing shipping orders and related documentation
  • Coordinating pickups and delivery appointments
  • Issuing shipping confirmations and reviewing transportation costs
  • Ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations, EHS requirements, and internal policies

Responsibilities

  • Independently organize and coordinate domestic and international transportation activities while meeting cost, quality, and delivery requirements
  • Select, manage, and monitor the performance of freight forwarders, logistics providers, and transportation partners
  • Ensure the accurate preparation, review, and archiving of all transportation- and customs-related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations regarding export controls, dangerous goods, customs, and occupational health and safety
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Production, Procurement, Order Management, Warehousing, Customer Service, and Quality Management
  • Monitor delivery schedules and proactively identify, escalate, and resolve transportation or delivery deviations
  • Ensure timely material and product availability through close coordination with internal and external partners
  • Review and approve freight invoices and support logistics cost analysis and optimization initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and the implementation of compliance, EHS, and quality requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments and external service providers regarding transportation and shipping-related matters

Qualifications

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, preferably in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or International Trade
  • Initial practical experience in organizing road, air, and ocean freight transportation
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and self-driven working style
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation regulations, ideally with ADR certification (road transport)
