LOGISTICS COORDINATOR – CUMBERNAULD- 40 HOURS PER WEEK WITH ROTATIONAL WEEKENDS

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team at our Cumbernauld depot.
Our Freight Coordinators play a key role in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring exceptional customer service.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· A basic understanding of distribution planning principles and vehicle capacities
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
· Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to working with new systems.
· Working knowledge of health and safety practices and principles.

Responsibilities

· Creating and managing bookings in the traffic management system, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
· Preparing relevant shipping documentation, including invoices, purchase orders and proof of delivery notes.
· Updating the traffic management system with shipment tracking information and maintaining accurate proof of delivery documentation.
· Providing excellent customer service by responding to customer enquiries efficiently and professionally.
· Communicating and working effectively with colleagues across our internal depot network to provide updates on the movement of freight.
· Assisting in resolving any transportation issues that may arise.
· Coordinating local vehicle and plant hire.
· Using Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and reporting purposes.
· Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, protocols and schedules.
· Being the QHSE Focal Point for the Cumbernauld depot.
· Adhering to company health and safety regulations and standards.
