Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination (70%):

  • Participate in daily production and shipping meetings to align on priorities and schedules.
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with couriers and LTL carriers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and courier labels, with exceptional accuracy.
  • Generate and provide reports on all Proof of Deliveries (PODs).
  • Accurately prepare customs documentation, demonstrating an understanding of HS Tariffs and Country of Origin requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Customer Service Representatives to ensure all customs information is provided and correct.
  • Provide continuous updates to internal teams regarding shipping activities, timelines, and status.
  • Generate and deliver timely freight quotes to stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain freight costs within the company’s ERP system (Pace).
  • Secure and confirm delivery appointments with clients or receiving departments as needed.
  • Ensure carriers and couriers are advised of pick-up times and that all shipments are secure and ready upon their arrival.
  • Generate packing slips within the ERP system to accompany outgoing orders.

Material Handling (30%):

  • Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of production.
  • Load, unload, and stage skids and materials using the forklift.
  • Store all materials in their designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization.
  • Build custom boxes and crates as needed to protect products during transit.
  • Scan and load packed crates and products onto trucks for shipment.
  • Fulfill orders by picking, packaging, and preparing materials for shipment.
