JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to provide essential support to our Materials and Logistics team at our Fort Smith facility. In this role, you will assist with coordinating logistics operations, managing inventory flow, and ensuring compliance to support efficient production and supply chain activities. This position is perfect for someone with strong organizational skills, a commitment to sustainability, and experience in a manufacturing environment. Note: This position focuses on coordination and support and does not involve quoting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling with carriers, tracking deliveries, and addressing transportation issues to ensure timely material availability.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, supporting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the Materials and Logistics Supervisor in planning storage, distribution, and procurement activities while collaborating with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulations including DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental standards.
  • Utilize ERP systems and logistics software to track orders, generate reports on key metrics like on-time delivery and inventory turnover, and identify process improvements for efficiency.
  • Uphold safety protocols, company policies, and inclusive practices in all logistics operations.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and communication to resolve issues promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor or Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, with a minimum of 3 years of experience – or - High School diploma, GED, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, with over-dimensional transportation experience being a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with HVAC or manufacturing industries is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand/walk for extended periods, and occasionally travel to suppliers or distribution centers.
