JOB SUMMARY:

Vitalis is currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator who will report directly to the Production Manager. We are looking for candidates who are interested in working in a production environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute, grow and prosper as part of our organization. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Creative problem solver who works well under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail, organized
  • International logistics coordination experience required, must be familiar with Incoterms
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Completion of grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • Safety conscious, must adhere to Vitalis safety policies & procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and be computer literate
  • ERP experience is an asset, specifically Odoo ERP
  • Understand the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or have a work visa for Canada
Responsibilities
  • Inbound/outbound international & domestic logistics coordination via truck, air, and ocean
  • Prepare all required documentation for shipments
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Service, and Shipper/Receiver to arrange transport of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Support team by providing excellent customer service to stakeholders
  • Negotiate for competitive rates to procure the best transport services from logistics providers
  • Expediting of late incoming shipments
  • Tracking of all shipments to provide up-to-date information when requested
  • Filing claims for damaged/lost shipments
  • Auditing for incorrect charges and approval of freight bills
  • Documentation and filing of BOL’s, TDG, and other transport-related documents
  • Work with customs brokers to ensure timely customs clearance of shipments
  • Communication with vendors and customers for transport-related inquiries
  • Transportation vendor management reporting to measure service levels
  • Some shipping & receiving duties as required
