An international freight forwarding company in the northwest suburbs Chicago is looking for an Entry Writer candidate to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience with import operations for international freight forwarding companies.
Customs Entry Writer Responsibilities Include:
· Input and transmit data for the CBP release of shipments from documents.
· Verify arrival information with Airlines / NVOCC’s / Steamship Lines, etc.
· Report the completion of entry tasks release of cargo and exceptions to established clearance requirements
· Prepare and send delivery orders to trucker
· Issue invoices to a customer or overseas offices and other accounting processes as requested
· Confirm to customers the release details
Customs Entry Writer Requirements:
· 3 - 4 years’ experience in air/ocean import operations required.
· Experience as an Entry Writer is preferred.
· Must have basic PC skills (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Be able to work effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural team environment
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English
· Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform regular physical activity
· This position will not support visa sponsorships
