Description

The EMEIA Logistics team at Apple is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated individual for the role of EMEIA Distribution Centre Operations Manager. As the EMEIA Distribution Center Regional Logistics Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational excellence of a number of Apple’s distribution centres across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. You’ll optimise end-to-end logistics processes, drive sustainability initiatives, and ensure flawless execution for Apple’s customers and retail partners. This role demands a visionary leader who thrives on complexity, champions innovation, and upholds Apple’s dedication to excellence! You will have experience in building cohesive and high-performing teams, as well as in collaborating effectively with partner teams. The primary objective is to ensure that sufficient capacity is available to support business needs, thereby delivering exceptional performance for Apple’s customers.

DESCRIPTION

Lead and mentor a team of Regional Supply Managers and Business Analysts, setting clear goals and targets and supporting the team to achieve them. Ensure a robust management system of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews. Engage with 3PL leadership at all levels to ensure targets are clearly articulated, communicated and supervised. Responsible for DC performance, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) adherence and continuous improvement efforts across both the team and the supplier base. Take a key role in supporting commercial inputs to the operational efficiencies. Innovation is central to what we do and in this role you need to be supporting innovation at all times in areas such as sustainability, supply chain efficiencies, etc. Lead the DC Operation to support peak events, such as NPI, Promo activities, etc. Apple is a highly cross functional and matrixed organisation, therefore you will need to work effectively across multiple teams both regionally and globally.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in an Operations environment in a fast paced product industry.
  • Strong people manager with an ability to recognise, attract and develop top talent.
  • Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines and maintain robust management systems to ensure the overall efficiency of the team.
  • Extensive program & project management experience and a continuous improvement focus with a strong interest in process automation, consistently driving efficiency and enhancing overall customer experience.
  • Detailed and meticulous, with strong business acumen and consumer focus.
  • Creative problem solver who can embrace new technologies e.g. AI/ML, identify opportunities to optimise existing supply chain and deliver new tools and processes to support scale.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in tech/consumer electronics logistics.
  • Track record in deploying sustainable supply chain solutions.Certifications: APICS, PMP, or ISO standards.
