Job Summary: The Logistics Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting our Operations Team during Sumer 2025. Reporting to the Industrial Engineer, the intern will work on a variety of hands-on projects designed to improve process efficiency, facility layout, safety and operational performance. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to engineering, logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives in a real-world logistics environment. Key Responsibilities: * Project Management: Assist with project logistics site setup * Warehouse Optimization: Conduct time studies and spaghetti diagrams to analyze and improve movement flows * Workplace Design: Implement 5S principles and optimize workstation setups * Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Help draft and standardize SOP documentation * Capacity Planning: Build tools to analyze current utilization and forecast future needs * Safety & Ergonomics: Analyze tasks, environments, and incident data to drive safer operations Qualifications: * Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Research, or a related field * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Familiarity with process mapping, time studies, and data analysis * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Arena or other simulation software is a plus * Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills * Comfortable working in warehouse and office environments Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Products Work Schedule: * Days: Monday through Friday * Hours: Between 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, not to exceed 29 hours per week All job offers are contingent upon completing and passing a background check and drug screen. Responsibilities
The intern will support the operations team by conducting process efficiency projects, including warehouse optimization, facility layout design, and safety analysis. They will also assist in drafting standard operating procedures and building capacity planning tools.
