· Applies specialized knowledge of laws, regulations, rulings, or instructions
· Researches and provides recommendations for classifications of items/data for export or disposal
· Independently gathers, organizes, and evaluates facts and evidence, such as in examining claims or investigating compliance with or violation of laws, rules, or regulations
· Applies specialized knowledge in interpreting and applying US export control laws and regulations
· Applies specialized knowledge of the provisions of laws, regulations, procedures, practices, and documentation related to customs processes for entry and examination of imports
· Applies specialized knowledge of the provisions of Federal laws and regulations on prohibited and restricted items and requirements for admittance into the United States and into commerce
· Applies specialized Knowledge of the Tariff Schedules of the United States, and understanding of the basic principles, factors, and terms used in the determination of tariff classification and value
· Manages and performs audits of contractor export control programs to determine Export Administration Regulations (EAR)/International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restrictions compliance
· Assists in preparation of export license applications and supporting documentation
· Documents export policy implementation issues for NASA’s review and disposition
· Assists with keeping the Export Control Program Desk Guide current
· Assists with documenting reviews, analysis, and disposition of NASA scientific and technical information briefings, papers, and other documents for Export Control requirements and advisability of public disclosure
· Assists with developing, reworking documents, information releases, forms, templates, etc. in support of export policies and activities
· Uses the Export Control (EC) SharePoint (SP) Tool for determination and release of documents and presentations
· Upon export control determination, applies determination marking to documents and returns final documents to requestors
· Independently works moderate issues and provides recommended resolution and disposition

EDUCATION

Degree required (Bachelor’s or Associate) in a related field, preferably international studies, from an accredited educational institution.
5 years of specialized experience or equivalent professional experience with export control content as defined by the Performance Work Statement.
