Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for providing administrative and accounting support to Logistics team and project teams within a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) supplier company. The Logistics Analyst is responsible for executing all daily financial and administrative activities to support the department managing the logistics flow of pre-engineered metal buildings from factories to construction sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial models focused in variances analysis.
  • Experience with cost optimization, budgeting, and forecasting in a logistics context.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, tariffs, and freight charges can be advantageous.
  • Strong ability to analyze logistics and financial data to identify trends, forecast costs, and recommend solutions.
  • Experience in building and interpreting financial models, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Understanding supply chain processes, procurement, transportation, and storage.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Zoho CRM is a plus.
  • Ability to address financial challenges in logistics operations effectively.
  • Clear presentation of financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Collaboration and cross-departmental coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and request all freight-related invoices from the transportation companies and other service providers.
  • Verify the amount on the invoice and make sure it matches with the quote.
  • Collaborate with the logistics lead in reviewing the invoices, especially in cases where they exceed the quoted amount.
  • Submit to accounts payables all invoices regarding the logistics of all projects.
  • Review transportation company statements of account and liaison with accounts payable to resolve pending payments.
  • Reconciliation of all logistics expenses of a particular project and confirm all invoices have been accounted for and paid to assist in the efforts of closing the project.
  • Create PO’s and input data in the CRM for vendor payment and quotation as needed.
  • Complete and track month-by-month rate fluctuation in the shipping rate report.
  • Request and evaluate freight rate for budgeting purposes.
  • Assist the Logistics Coordinator and Specialist with ongoing projects if required.
  • Provide vendor assistance with remittance and payment confirmations.
  • Provide financial information of logistics variances of an specific project
  • Elaborate monthly financial reports of the logistics budget performance of active projects.
