Goods In Operative Head Office Site: PO21 3PX Full time DAY SHIFT positions, 4 days on, 4 days off With various opportunities across our sites, duties and responsibilities will be centred around our busy Logistics departments. Working as part of a team, our warehouse operators and forklift drivers assist with the safe transfer of produce to and from production and storage areas, as well as picking & packing orders and loading unloading delivery vehicles utilising PPE and Forklift trucks where necessary. You will be confident working in a busy, temperature controlled, warehouse environment and manoeuvring goods around safely both inside and out. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be passionate about providing a first class service at all times and be responsible for ensuring all operational warehousing tasks are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Loading & Unloading of delivery vehicles Ensure safe transfer/locating of finished products to despatch from production Ensure safe transfer/locating of raw materials To be trained for all warehousing area duties across both Leythorne and Sefter sites Adherence to all trained SOPs Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors To operate clean as you go principles whilst carrying out duties To maintain high standards of health and safety in all operating areas Hazards and accidents reported to the manager in a timely manner Focus on continuous improvements *Full training provided as applicable to role Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Previous experience in a Fresh Produce or FMCG Warehousing environment (Preferred) Forklift / Counter Balance Licence and experience utilising MHE prefereable Able to communicate effectively using basic verbal English Confident and proactive with experience working to deadlines Experience of working in a fast paced environment Be an effective Team Player Why Work for Barfoots?
