Description

THIS IS B&S

B&S exists to make premium consumer goods available to everyone, anywhere. We believe that getting access to consumer products that bring joy and comfort into everyday lives, should be easy around the globe.
With our ever-growing international network and physical local presence, we bring suppliers, logistics partners, wholesalers, retailers and consumers all over the world together that are in many ways difficult to connect. We partner with the world’s premium consumer brands in beauty, liquors, personal care, food, health and consumer electronics to serve millions of consumers daily - either directly or through our wholesaler and reseller partners.
Powered by our high-tech platform and arising from supply chain expertise, we provide sourcing, warehousing, distribution, digital commerce, marketing and brand development solutions that enhance choice, speed up delivery, drive conversion and increase reach.
Job Description
In our logistics operation, dozens of drivers report to our warehouse every day to load or unload goods. This check-in process is currently mostly manual, leading to waiting times, miscommunication (partly due to language barriers), and increased workload for our staff.
To make this process smarter and more customer-friendly, we are exploring the possibilities of an AI-driven reception kiosk. A kiosk that allows drivers to check in independently, have a conversation in their own language, enter reference numbers, and ultimately be directed to the correct dock or waiting area. The system is still in the exploratory phase — and that’s where you come in.

Responsibilities
  • Map out the current driver check-in process, including bottlenecks and workload.
  • Investigate the minimum data we need from drivers (e.g., reference number, carrier, loading/unloading information).
  • Explore AI possibilities such as speech recognition, language detection, and natural interaction (think ChatGPT technology or voice bots).
  • Develop an initial concept or prototype of the AI kiosk, considering the interface, conversation structure, and required systems.
  • Research the technical (im)possibilities of integration with existing systems (such as dock planning), even if these are not yet fully implemented.
