The Logistics Operations Intern supports the accurate and timely shipping and receiving of business-essential materials and commodities intended for employees, departments, global offices, and external partners. The intern works closely with the logistics team and gains hands‑on experience in logistics, organization, and administrative support. Responsibilities Process inbound parcels and other deliveries. Prepare outbound shipments in accordance with company standard shipping practices. Track, receive, and log inbound shipments. Operate a wide array of office and packaging equipment. Monitor mailroom supply stocks and restock as needed. Support administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and records management. Follow company procedures for handling confidential or sensitive documents. Qualifications Ability to consistently complete assigned tasks and manage time independently Must be a full‑time enrolled student seeking a summer internship to gain professional experience in a corporate environment, with interest in logistics or facilities operations. Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable managing repetitive tasks with accuracy. Good communication skills and a customer‑service mindset when interacting with employees and vendors. Ability to lift and move packages (typically 20–40 lbs., depending on company requirements). Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and label‑printing tools. Willingness to learn mailroom systems, shipping platforms, and office equipment. What the Intern Gains Practical experience in office operations, domestic and global logistics, and workflow coordination. Hands-on, practical experience with logistics processes and documentation as well as meaningful interaction with parcel carriers and freight forwarders. Improved time‑management and organizational skills. Exposure to cross‑departmental communication and internal support functions. Understanding of shipping processes, tracking systems, international trade compliance, and standard operational procedures. A foundation for future roles in office administration, facilities, supply chain and logistics operations, or corporate services.
Responsibilities
