Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Secondary Transportation team in optimizing logistics planning through the development of a digital transportation planning application/system. The intern will work on streamlining route planning, vehicle utilization, and delivery efficiency, contributing to a broader supply chain digitization initiative. This role offers hands-on experience in logistics operations, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration within a leading FMCG environment.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Support the design and development of a digital transportation planning tool/system for Secondary Distribution.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, IT, and 3PL partners to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyze current transportation planning processes and identify gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Assist in mapping end-to-end secondary delivery flows and vehicle deployment schedules.
  • Help digitize key planning inputs such as order profiles, route maps, load plans, and truck assignments.
  • Conduct data analysis to support route optimization and cost-efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in testing and validation of the developed system with real-time operational data.
  • Prepare regular updates, reports, and presentations on project progress and findings.
  • Support change management activities including training material preparation and user onboarding.
