MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to Logistics service requirements as well as experience related to cargo transportation and supply.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decisions.
  • Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Possess a valid state issued driver’s license and passport.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
  • Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Provide leadership to a diverse team for providing logistics support, shipping and receiving cargo functions, and supply service requirements. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide program planning and execution, labor, and supervision of contract labor to meet all supply, cargo, and logistical requirements and support the mission of the AAAF
  • Identify, requisition, track, receive, inventory, document, store, account for, and issue supplies in support of the AAAF mission.
  • Document and account for all Air Force equipment that has Expendability, Recoverability, Reparability Category (ERRC) of NF/ND in the current USAF approved Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
  • Report lost, damaged or destroyed equipment, upon identification.
  • Monitor and enforce all warranties on Government property.
  • Prepare cargo (to include mail cargo) for designated airlift and sealift transportation to and from AAAF and shall provide cargo unloading and delivery services at AAAF.
  • May be required to provide on call (24/7) after-hours warehouse and tool crib requirements as needed outside normal duty hours to support AAAF missions.
  • Perform inventory and procurement IAW AFI 23-101 and AFMAN 23-122.
