GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE OF

· Outlook/Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of the Logistics Manager is to manage the process of arranging and overseeing the transport of goods between the warehouses and to the customer. In addition to planning of the dedicated vehicle and ownership of the haulage planner across multiple sites. Duties also to include management of the Shipping Administrator, Goods In & Goods Out teams and general assisting with container haulage.

Duties will include:

  • Staff Management & Training (If required), including: - Inducting, training and appraising direct reports - Assign workload to direct reports - Monitor absenteeism, review and take appropriate action if necessary. Submit all documentation to HR such as return to work forms - Manage direct reports to deliver agreed levels of quality, performance, safety and service
  • Management of the Goods In and Goods Out teams , to ensure full compliance of procedures and ensuring all goods are delivered on time and in full. To include advance booking of stock upon arrival for scanner put away.
  • Operational controls – to oversee the 4 Cammack cost centers (this is likely change after tender closure) to ensure maximum utilisation of all vehicles as well as secondary haulier control, as required:
  1. Cammack Groupage 2. Cammack Rigid 3. Cammack Fleet

  2. Cammack Full Load

  • Oversight – First point of issue resolution for all transport activities
  • Live tracking of fleet – to track and ensure the trucks are positioned correctly for the planned works - To raise issues and be on the front foot with regards to delays and informing the relevant stakeholders / customers
  • Primary contact for all haulier movements encompassing

o Stock transfers in and out from Fanpac / Cammack / Menzies to Witham
o Sales orders, STRs from third party packers – (Speciality Foods / Granta)
o Collection of POs as requested by supply chain including 3PL such as Frederick Smarts
· Third Party Storage transfers
o Receive transfer requests from production planning and share with Third Party
o Confirm required slot / time based on availability in the logistics planner and required time from the requestee
o Arrange haulage

· Updating of the main logistics planner

  • To promptly and professionally handle all enquiries over the phone, via email and in person.
  • To handle order collection for allocated customers including contacting hauliers, sending paperwork etc. in a timely manner.
  • To process haulage claims in a timely manner and to raise to the relevant stakeholders in the business.
  • Management of invoices in the iDocs system. Tracking of all haulage costs and KPI’s

· Any other tasks as deemed reasonable by your line manager and the business
