COS is seeking a full time, qualified Logistics Manager to join the distribution centre team in Brisbane.

THE IDEAL LOGISTICS MANAGER WILL POSSESS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COMBINATIONS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as logistics, warehousing, or business administration, AND at least one year of experience in a distribution-related role;

OR

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a distribution-related role, including at least two years out of the five in a managerial capacity.

Pay: $76,515.00 per year

Responsibilities

Coordination & Supervision

  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, Goods Inbound, Put-away, and Replenishment
  • Lead active inventory management to achieve and maintain stock accuracy and order fulfilment to ensure customer satisfaction and meet budgeted KPI’s
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing and distribution by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures

Tools & Equipment

  • Manage maintenance of equipment, plant and machinery used within Logistics Department
  • Recommend equipment investment to both support operational efficiency & reduce safety risks
  • Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
  • Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and make sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met

Human Resources

  • Supporting the DC Leader with labour planning for the Logistics Department
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of team
  • Daily huddles with inbound and inventory teams
  • Maintains warehouse team members job results by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results
  • Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded

Strategic Input

  • Liaising with COS senior management. Assist in the development of innovation for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans
  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure inbound flow is achieved

Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with deferral, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely
